Our Commitment

To transform communities, one life at a time by empowering and
equipping each individual to enhance their own well-being.

Empowering Communities

With decades of experience in suicide prevention, Hope Well Institute equips individuals and communities worldwide to enhance their suicide safety.

World-Leading Programs

Our groundbreaking research and strategic frameworks are tailored to cultural contexts, reducing the burden of suicide globally.

Innovative Tools

We combine Human Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence to assess and improve psychological safety through tools like the ASSAT, recognized with the Resilient Australia Award in 2022.

Why Choose Hope Well?

What sets Hope Well Institute apart is our proactive,
hope-centered approach to suicide prevention –
Organisations
Individuals
  • Increased Psychological Safety: Foster a culture where employees feel more positive and seek help, leading to a resilient workforce with greater overall mental well-being and openness. An approach that reduces the likelihood of reaching crisis points rather than responding to crises.
  • Enhanced Employee Engagement and Productivity: Prioritising psychological safety and resilience means higher levels of employee engagement, reduced absenteeism, and improved job satisfaction, leading to increased productivity.
  • Long-Term Cost Savings: Decreased the need for crisis intervention, reduces healthcare costs, and improves the organisation’s bottom line by maintaining a healthier, more resilient workforce.
  • Reduced Turnover and Retention of Talent: Studies have shown that psychologically safe workplaces experience lower employee turnover, higher productivity, and a reduction in costs related to mental health interventions.

A preventive, outcome-oriented strategy that delivers tangible results for both individuals and organisations.

“With everything the Suicide Safer Schools Project has done in the school, with regard suicide, our school is the safest place to be”.

William Jackson
Maranatha Christian School.

“We have an increased awareness of suicide . . . as a result of the program and now have a suicide management plan . . . process in place. I am feeling more secure that we are able to be so proactive as well as supportive. And as far as [HWI] is concerned, I am your greatest convert.”

Joanne Alford
Deputy Principal, St Francis Xavier College.

The best thats happened is people have started talking about it, it’s not a voodoo word now. People want to express how they feel, talk to their friends, talk to their families and do the right thing and help each other out.

Its actually at the forefront now, its not just something we talk about after a tragedy as its a good thing to do. One of the things that come out of our talk last night was hope and if we’ve all got hope its something to move forward. We can do what we can for our community, if we dig in and help each other like we said over the period of time, a small percent to start with, it grows into a large percent and we do the job, we can’t wait, it’s going to be an exciting next 12 months.

“I do believe the program was the most empowering [program] ever undertaken by our [community] and it has not just raised awareness of a very relevant topic to our [members]
group but has allowed meaningful and profoundly beneficial conversations to take place which would not have occurred in the pre-program days. . . .

The most valuable component of the Project was the Recommendations that helped create an even safer environment and supportive atmosphere. . . .

[Our] community is most grateful and will continue to be involved with the program moving forward.” .
